Parent Trip Leadership Series #2 | Building the Calendar - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

Part 2 of 2. This a two-part leadership series teaching about trip leadership and planning for parents and volunteers with the Seattle youth clubs.

  • Casual

6-8pm in Goodman A.

The goal of this series will likely be slightly different for each one of you, but that is okay!

OUR GOALS ARE:

  • To share our process on trip plan
  • Provide you the resources, tools, and support in planning a trip for the club
  • Have you decide if you're going to pursue being a qualified leader or simply plan a trip, but not lead it
  • Finish session 2 with a mostly (or completely) filled out calendar for [YEAR] with YOUR trip plans

PART 1:  [DATE]

During this session we will be covering the trip planning process, answering any of your questions, and giving you time to begin planning your trips!

PLEASE BRING:

  • Laptop (and charger)
  • Notebook (if you prefer to handwrite notes)
  • Pen or Pencil
  • A good attitude and be ready to think about trip planning

PART 2: [DATE]

During this session we will be reviewing your trip plans and filling in our club calendar.

COME TO THIS SESSION WITH:

  • Your complete trip plan(s)
  • A decision as to whether you want to be the qualified leader or not

This will require work outside of these sessions to plan your trip, so please don’t wait until the last minute to complete your trip plans. Katy is available as a resource via phone or email, so don’t hesitate to call or send a message. If you’d like to meet in person or via Zoom, she's also happy to schedule a time to chat; just give a shout.
