Seattle Junior MAC Snowshoe - Panorama Point

Join us for a day of snowshoeing!

All cars will meet at the Paradise Parking Lot by 9:30 am and start hiking at 10:15.  

  • Carpool signup. If you plan on driving, please offer open seats to other students.
  • Getting There: From SR-7 in Elbe, turn east onto SR-706, both known as the National Park Highway. Continue through the Nisqually Entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. Be prepared to pay the fee just after entering the park. Drive 19 miles to Paradise.
  • In winter, ALL drivers in the park are required to carry snow chains or equivalent traction devices—this includes those with a 4-wheel or  all-wheel drive vehicle. Those without a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle may be required to install them at Longmire or beyond.
  • National Park Entrance Fee required for parking.

  • Land Acknowledgement: We will be recreating on the lands/waters of the Pacific Northwest Indian Tribes, including the Cayuse, Umatilla, Walla Walla, Puyallup, and Nisqually, who live here and steward these lands and waters as they have since time immemorial. The Seattle Mountaineers Youth Clubs encourage you to recreate mindfully and respectfully on our upcoming trip to these native lands.
