Seattle MAC - Ladies Only Climbing Trip - Mount Baker/Easton Glacier

This is an alpine glacier climb for MAC students that self-identify as women, trans, or femme.

Prerequisites:

For alpine rock climbs:

Skills/workshops: Multi-pitch systems, belay escape, rappelling, lead climbing / lead belaying

Other courses/trips: Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course/badge, Leavenworth Multi-Pitch trip / successful multi-pitch climb, Summer Trip / successful muti-pitch climb there

If glacier climb: In addition to all of the above: Crevasse rescue workshop, glacier climbing fundamentals (at least 2), Snow 1, Snow 2

In addition the technical skills described above, participants joining this trip may be asked to describe the physical preparations they have undertaken - this may include conditioning hikes, other easier climbs, weekly training routines, etc.

 Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis as the goal of these trips is to build femme community.
