One of MAC's biggest trips of the year, the Leavenworth multi-pitch trip will be an opportunity for students to use all the skills they've been building throughout the year. There will be multi-pitch climbing, leading trad, leading bolted routes, and top roping. Senior students will have the opportunity to lead pitches and younger students will follow. Everyone will have the option to do single-pitch cragging.
This trip has prerequisites:
For multi-pitch: Attendance at all the rock climbing skills workshops so far including climbing 101, anchors/cleaning routes, rappelling, & at least 1 of the multi-pitch workshops (both preferred if possible). The trad climbing workshop is encouraged but not required. Lead belaying badge, clean/lower badge, rappelling badge, multi-pitch systems badge.
For single-pitch: Attendance at the climbing 101 workshops and anchors + clean/lower, at minimum. Lead belaying badge and clean/lower badge (which signifies competency with lead belaying AND lead climbing on bolts, and how to retrieve top rope anchor gear from routes when done).
