Foothills Summer Camp - Nature Detectives Week

Grab your notebook and magnifying glass and explore nature through the five senses!

Campers ages 6-10 are invited to come to a week packed with traditional camp games, songs and a heavy dose of outdoor adventure. Each week consists of exploring the local area, basic outdoor skills, low impact recreational practices, crafts, and swimming! Additionally, every week has a field trip, special activity, and/or outdoor adventures relating to the given theme.

During Nature Detectives Week, campers will have the opportunity to observe and discover the wonders of the great outdoors. They will learn to identify different birds, plants, and critters and appreciate all the ways they live together in an ecosystem. This week will also feature a field trip to Farmer Frog BearGrass Farm in Snohomish for a tour a real working farm, a hands-on project such as planting or harvesting, games or crafting, and getting to taste whatever they have in season!

LOGISTICS:

• Open enrollment begins January 31
• Location: Kennydale Memorial Hall
• Drop off: 8:45 - 9:00am
• Pick up: 3:50 - 4:00pm
• *Please note: all outdoor activities are weather and condition dependent*
