Seattle Explorers & Jr. MAC Climbing - Exit 38

The Mountaineers' van will leave the SPC at 9:15 am. If you need gear please show up at 8:30am to grab gear.  

If you are driving separately, we will meet at the Dirty Harry's Trailhead at 10:15 am.

  • Getting There: EXIT 38/DECEPTION CRAGS

    From Seattle, take exit 38 towards the Fire Training Academy. After exiting, head right at the stop sign and drive 1.8 miles. The road comes to a junction. Turn left to go underneath the freeway and you will see the parking lot ahead of you with a trailhead sign and a bathroom.

  • Land Acknowledgement: We will be recreating on the lands/waters of the Pacific Northwest Indian Tribes, including the Snoqualmie, Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla, who live here and steward these lands and waters as they have since time immemorial. The Seattle Mountaineers Youth Clubs encourage you to recreate mindfully and respectfully on our upcoming trip to these native lands.

SCHEDULE

  • 9:15am - Vanpool leaves the SPC
  • 10:15- Meet at Dirty Harry's Trailhead
  • 11:00 - At the crag, start climbing
    • Lunch at the crag
  • 4:45pm - Pull ropes
  • 6:30pm - Back in Seattle
