Bloodworks Blood Drive

Bloodworks Blood Drive

Bloodworks Northwest is hosting a mobile blood donation lab in The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center parking lot.

It takes 1,000 blood donors each day to save lives across the Pacific Northwest. This spring, Bloodworks Northwest is touring together, from Bellingham, WA, to Eugene, OR, with one message: thank you. Hear the stories, feel the need, and discover the reasons why people choose to be 1 in 1,000: https://bloodworksnw.org/thankyou. Join us in being a donor on Tuesday, June 18 at The Mountaineers. Secure your timeslot by call 1-800-398-7888 or signing up online. Walk-ins will be seen around scheduled donors, making an appointment is strongly encouraged.

Fun facts:

  • Blood cannot be created in a lab- donations are the ONLY way we are able to save likes through transfusions.
  • Blood has a shelf life, so the need never stops. We are always working on replenishing our shelves. You can donate whole blood every 56 days.
  • Once you donate, you can find out what blood type you are. Many people are interested in learning their blood type!
