Start time is 8:30 am at the Granite Mountain/Pratt Lake TH. A NW Forest Pass or Interagency Pass is required.
A strenuous, 8 miles hike with 3,800 feet in elevation gain to a fire lookout. The trail starts in deep forest, enters open south slopes in a series of short switchbacks and ends with panoramic views of surrounding peaks far and near. We will hike at a conversational pace and break every 45-60 minutes to catch our breath. Pack some snacks or a lunch for our summit.
