Cleaning, Maintaining, and Storing Your Backpacking Gear in the Off-season - Mountaineers Tacoma Program Center

Learn how to care for your backpacking gear and increase its longevity. This will be an in-person seminar with no recording or Zoom options available.

In this seminar we will present some of the most common ways to clean, maintain, and store your backpacking gear for the offseason including: 

  • Sleeping bags/quilts
  • Sleeping pads
  • Tents/shelters
  • Backpacks
  • Boots/shoes
  • Clothing/rain gear
  • Backpacking stoves
  • Trekking poles
  • Bladders and water bags
  • Water filters
  • Food storage

At the end of the seminar there will be an option to consolidate your partially used backpacking stove fuel canisters and punch a hole in your empties so you can take them home for recycling.
