Meet on Hobuck beach in front of the campground and be ready to launch at 8:00 am. We will *plan* to return around 3.
Participants for this clinic should also be signed up for the Surf Zone and Beyond week at Hobuck Beach. Rock gardening is a fun way to build skills and expand your experiences along the coast. In this clinic, we will focus on:
- How to travel as a group and stay together (harder than you think in rocks!)
- How to assess a rock feature and decide if it is fun and safe to play
- How to set a safety circuit so that needed help is always in the right position
- Rescues in the rocks. Performing rescues in rock with the dynamic of the surf and the features can be complex. We will practice for many different scenarios that could arise.
- Moving safely through rock features - protecting shoulders, faces, etc
- How to maximize your fun in rocks!
We will travel from Hobuck to Anderson point which is a relatively short paddle.
