Bowmann Bay boat launch, ready to paddle at 9 AM.

One day on on-water and on-beach instruction regarding incident management and prevention.  Clinic will cover multiple self and assisted re-entries, use of short and long tow systems, and incident scenarios. This clinic will meet the IM clinic requirements for intermediate kayaker badge. Dress for the water, as you will be in it a lot. Be sure to look at the equipment requirements.

Required Equipment

The mountaineers standard 10 essentials.

Sea Kayak with full perimeter deck lines and sealed front and rear hatches (flotation). 

Properly fitting Coast Guard approved PFD with attached whistle. 

Paddle that floats. 

Properly fitting spray skirt.

Dry suit with suitable thermal protection clothing.

 Helmet and Gloves. 

Tow system (long and short tow). Talk with instructor before buying.

Spare clothes in dry bag, lunch and water, snacks for on-water, paddle float.
