First aid kit contents for Expedition Sea Kayaking & Wilderness Travel

  • Easy

7:00 pm over Zoom.

Log-in details will be provided 24 hours before seminar. You need to enroll in the clinic to receive these details.

As a minimum, you need a microphone with your computer. You can also use a tablet with the Zoom app. In either case a headset is a nice way to go.

We are charging a modest $10 fee to help The Mountaineers during this tough time.

You have a basic first aid kit for day trips on the water, but is it complete? What about expedition kayaking where you are more remote from help? A surgeon kayaker discusses her wilderness first aid kit, complete with all the items you’ll need to treat the most frequently encountered emergencies in the wilderness.

Sheila Lally, DO is a practicing general surgeon. She has a long history in the outdoors guiding mountaineering expeditions in remote locations in the Rockies, climbing Mt. McKinley, bicycle touring, and sea kayaking.  She has assembled a practical, compact first aid kit for sea kayaking and wilderness travel that she will share with us.  Please join us for a one hour talk over Zoom where she will show each item in her kit and describe its’ use.  Participants will get a copy of her list emailed to them at the conclusion of the webinar.
