Carl Battreall
A native of California, photographer and climber Carl Battreall moved to Alaska in 2001 to be closer to big mountains and glaciers. He has explored and photographed more than two hundred different glaciers in twelve different mountain ranges throughout Alaska. Over the past decade, he has built a reputation as one of the state’s premier wilderness photographers, a robust mountain explorer, and a dedicated conservationist.
