How To Obtain

Backpack the entire Appalachian Trail between Springer Mountain, Georgia and Mount Katahdin, Maine in a single season.

The trip can be done in either direction (NOBO or SOBO), following any necessary reroutes due to trail closures or weather. The trip can be either supported or unsupported, and zero/nero days are permitted along the way. NOBO trips can begin at Springer Mountain or any of the standard alternate NOBO starting trailheads. Trips can be private with non-Mountaineers team members. The trip must be done in accordance with Leave No Trace and in accordance with the policies of all relevant local land management agencies, including the use of valid permits, proper food storage and acceptable resupply practices, etc.
