The holder of this badge has graduated from The Mountaineers Intermediate Canyon Course or has demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience. The holder has demonstrated:
- Basic canyon whitewater knowledge
- Vertical rope movement, including passing knots and converting from ascent to descent, back to ascent
- Bag management
WHAT DOES THIS BADGE ALLOW ME TO DO?
This badge is required to participate in Mountaineers Intermediate Canyoning trips, and is a pre-requisite for many advanced canyoning courses.
HOW DO I GET THIS BADGE?
This badge can be acquired through The Mountaineers Intermediate Canyon Course. Those with prior experience can demonstrate proficiency to a Mountaineers Canyon Leader or Assistant Leader to receive the badge.
