Snow Camping
Represents experience in the snow overnight and general camping on snow techniques applicable to snowshoes, scrambles and climbs that happen on snow or on glaciers.
The holder of this badge has participated in a snow cave overnight and has learned the following skills, as witnessed by a Mountaineers leader or designee.
- Tent assembly on snow (including use of snow stakes)
- Gear efficiency
- Insulation management
- Summit preparation (not applicable for snowshoe)
