Ad Specifications
Ads must be press-ready digital art, saved as high-resolution PDF, EPS, or TIFF files. Properly produced PDFs are strongly encouraged, though documents saved as an EPS or TIFF are also accepted. The Mountaineers reserves the rights to reject ad creative which is not inline with the high standard of our publication.
Here are some further guidelines and best practices for ad submission*:
- Color artwork must be in CMYK (make sure all RGB and spot colors are converted to CMYK)
- Use high resolution images (300 DPI or higher)
- Do not scale images
- Always embed all fonts
- When creating a bleed advertisement, make sure all important material is within the live space and that the bleed size extends on all sides of the ad
- Flatten all transparent objects at a high resolution
*The Mountaineers reserves the right to reject advertisements which do not meet these guidelines.
DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION
Here are the deadlines for article and ad submissions. Please contact our communications team if you would like to make a later submission to see if it can be accommodated:
Fall: Confirm ad order by July 1; Creative due August 1
Published September 1 for September/October/November
