Kitsap Partner Programs
MOUNTAIN WORKSHOPS
The Mountaineers works with a variety of youth serving organizations to offer customized partner programs. We call these programs Mountain Workshops.
Mountain Workshops are single or multi-day experiences designed in collaboration with partner organizations to meet the educational goals of their group. Typically broken into 1 hour or ½ hour activity blocks, the flexible, hands-on curriculum is designed to expose youth to transferable outdoor skills and impart a desire to explore and conserve the outdoors. Bring your students to The Mountaineers for fun programs that will increase their confidence and introduce them to fun activities!
Note: Kitsap Partner Programs are currently administered through our Seattle Branch.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The Mountaineers Access Program (MAP) is a scholarship fund that subsidizes individuals or groups who otherwise would not be able to afford The Mountaineers programs. Group scholarships are available to partner programs participating in Mountain Workshop or borrowing group gear through the Gear Library. The Mountaineers typically awards scholarships of 30–70% of the program cost.
GROUP SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
MAP is made possible by generous contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, including the REI Foundation, Treeline Foundation and Bradley Foundation. We count on these donations from our members and partners to fulfill this very important part of our mission.
