Branch Leadership Committee
The Branch Leadership Committee (BLC) is an Advisory Committee of the Board. The group exists to provide leadership and direction to The Mountaineers by connecting the interests of the individual branches to each other and to the current organizational priorities.
Carbon Footprint Reduction Committee
Provide both strategic input on how The Mountaineers can most effectively implement organizational carbon footprint reduction as part of Vision 2022.

Climbing Technical Advisory Committee (PCE)
The Climbing Technical Advisory Committee (CTAC) provides recommendations on new and existing skills/techniques and equipment through research and testing.
Conservation & Advocacy Committee
The Conservation & Advocacy Committee provides expertise and guidance to advance The Mountaineers conservation and advocacy work. Working directly with the Conservation & Advocacy Director and the CEO, the Committee supports the organization’s efforts to influence public policy and land management to protect public lands and preserve the outdoor experience.
Cross-Country Skiing Council
The Cross-Country Skiing Council is a decision-making body comprised of Cross-Country Skiing Committee chairs from each of our committees that sponsor cross-country skiing activities.

First Aid Council
The First Aid Council is a decision-making body comprised of one representative from each committee that sponsors climbing activities.
Freedom 10 Committee
The committee established by our Board of Directors and chaired by Eric Linxweiler to write the tenth edition of Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills.
Global Adventures Committee
The Global Adventures committee brings the mission of the Mountaineers to the world by overseeing the planning and delivery of safe, fun and successful active outdoor adventures for Mountaineers members beyond the Pacific Northwest.
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee is responsible for reviewing, facilitating, and enhancing the board's effectiveness and succession. It also facilitates the development of the Board of Directors.
